I started sewing in October 2010. I took a month off in December but just got back into it when I came home after the holidays. Today I attempted to make a "pillow case" dress for my daughter. There are several tutorials online on how to make pillow case dresses, but I had a good idea and "guessed" how to make the dress. I found the fabric brand new at Goodwill for a very low price. I planned to use it as my "scrap" fabric for practicing different projects. I bought the farm ribbon at Wal-Mart. It took about one hour to make this pillow case dress and cost me about $2-$3 to make. I still need a lot of practice but overall, I was pleased. Here is how it turned out:
Here is my daughter running away from me in it. She loves to run away from me after we try my projects out on her!
I have a sewing blog at Sewing is Sew Fun if you are interested in seeing my other projects. I have made a few pillows, aprons, and more. I am still VERY new at sewing, but I like a good challenge!
