Write to Your Favorite Companies for Coupons!

Have you thought about writing emails to the companies of your favorite brands for money saving coupons? I have! I decided to experiment with something I purchase often- Meow Mix Cat Food. I just wrote a nice email on their contact form on their website about how I buy their product often for my cat and how I would appreciate it if they sent coupons. Here is part of the reply I received today:

"We hope your cat will continue to enjoy Meow Mix Dry Cat Food and we're sending you money-saving coupons in the mail in appreciation for your business."

I also wrote to Drano since I used their product recently for a smelly sink. Here is their reply:

"For the most up-to-date coupon offers, I invite you to become a member of our Right@Home™ newsletter. Membership is free and it allows you access to printable coupons and the opportunity to register for special gift pack offers. You'll find a current coupon offer available for Drano®. My Saturday Thrift Store Finds

I paid $10.00 for this pink Melissa and Doug piano for my daughter at the Habitat for Humanity thrift store. It sells for $69.99 on the Melissa and Doug website.
I found this V-tech phone for $1.00. It sells on Amazon for $19.77.

I found this Playskool Swing and Score baseball set for $1.00. It sells for $15.49 at Amazon.

I found this double sided easel board (chalk board on one side/white board on the other) for $7.97 at Goodwill.

Money Saving Tips:

Look around at thrift stores to buy new and gently used kids toys. The prices are so much more reasonable! Be sure to clean them once you bring them home.

When cleaning out your toy closet in the future, either donate the toys and get a tax receipt or see if Once Upon A Child will accept them! You can always sell them again at garage sales!

Disney and Garanimal Shoes on Sale at Walmart for $3.00

Look at this great deal I found today at Wal-mart! These shoes are on sale for $3.00 a pair (regular price ranging from $9.00-$12.00). I bought some for my daughter to last through the year. Thats like getting four pairs of shoes for the price of one! The sizes and styles vary (these are size 5). They also have some that lace up and they carry boys shoes as well. I prefer the velcro because we don't have too much time to spend lacing shoes all day! :) Besides my daughter loves to hear the way velcro sounds when you strap and unstrap her shoes!
